Concursurile de gasire de talente, cum sunt "The Voice Of...", "America's Got Talent", "X Factor" sunt, in general, dedicate performerilor din zona pop, dance, rap etc.

Rareori se intampla ca un artist rock serios sa iasa de pe "mainile" acestui tip de competitie.
